Wymondham Abbey
New station opened in 1999 as the southern terminus of the Mid Norfolk heritage railway to Dereham. This part of the original GER Wells to Wymondham railway closed to passengers in 1969. The track is still in place as far as the junction with the working Norwich to Ely railway but is rarely used. The Church Lane signal box, behind the camera, is a restored original, once used to control movements to nearby sidings.
