Sitting Room Plan

37/40 Tutor's comments: This really is a very good first attempt at a technical drawing. You have approached the technique with a great degree of professionalism, well done. Your survey sketches are excellent; using graph paper has really helped you to keep the whole drawing clean and tidy. This is a very good habit to get into as it helps with your accuracy when translating into technical drawing. Your keyand title block are very well presented. Your overall inking quality is very high, be careful with detailed areas such as the windows. If they are really very complicated leave very small details out as it can make it look too busy (I agree!). Door frames should look like post-at attached (post-it was missing...) Lovely use of freehand on the soft surnishings. When drawing items like the back of chairs, you do not need to fill these in, as it can look untidy on inking. Just using single lines to indicate thickness is fine for this and you can show they are solid when we cover rendering in further modules. (For future project, and to save you time, we recommend using layout paper for your pencilled technical drawing, as it is harder to see pencil on tracing paper).
