The Seafarers Kubrick DVD

Artwork for the DVD release of Stanley Kubrick's 1953 film, The Seafarers; which was made in order to finance Kubrick's first feature, Fear & Desire. This unique documentary about the Seafarers International Union, based at the time in Brooklyn, New York (now in MD) was thought lost for decades, but is now available for purchase at Amazon.com. It can also be rented at Netflix. Film is in color (28 mins). Audio-commentary from directors Keith Gordon (Mother Night, The Singing Detective, A Midnight Clear and TV's 'Dexter') and Roger Avary (Killing Zone, Rules of Attraction; also co-screenwriter for Pulp Fiction). Interview with Katherina Kubrick. NOTE: This film is coming to Blu-Ray in 2012!
