English translation:~ Wash your sins, not only your face ~

A palindrome is a word or phrase, that can be read the same way in either direction

The phrase was firstly written (in Greek) on the apex at the entrance of Saint Sophia church in Constantinople.

Τhe phrase is attributed to Gregory of Nazianzus.
