Made it! After a scrumptious dinner, a shower, and many hugs and joyful exclamations, I finally remembered to take today's final "on the road" daily photo. Here I am, reunited with the fam at last.
And the biking? Well. At least it wasn't as hot as yesterday -- in fact there was a bit of a breeze for much of the early afternoon -- but some of the signage along today's 69-mile ride from Culpeper to my parents' place in Springfield was, one might argue, less than clear. Yep, I got lost a few times, but only racked up a few extra miles. I hope I have better luck tomorrow -- in terms of not getting lost, that is -- since I've heard from a few folks that they're planning to meet up and bike with me from Old Town Alexandria. Almost home! Yippie!!!
