2016 MDR Boat Parade with sound!

There are some times when things are just hard to believe... Tis the Season...

It's been that sort of year.

In January we choose to "move out" so that our floors could be sound proofed for our neighbor downstairs. A huge inconvenience made easier because our neighbor, Dave, kindly took us all in. So Camp David was home for a few days.

We found new birds. Lifers. A team effort.

We couldn't avoid orthopedic surgical intervention. But the time away from work was welcomed.

Good friends suffered the crushing loss of a beloved pet. Nothing is clear but the fact that we are helpless to change Nature's course.

My laptop died. The new machine is "just like my iphone." I don't have an iphone. I don't like having to learn a completely new system.

New Year? New gear. (It should come with an Rx for Vicodin.)

It hasn't been a boring year; “…may you live in interesting times,” and we are well into the Holiday Season.

Here is a short movie of the Marina del Rey, Holiday Boat Parade taken with the SX-50. The decorated sailboat was the UCLA parade entry. Last year the winds were so high that the launch was impossible. So this time, the attempt was a cheered a success.

I figured out how to add sound to the movie. And now the swear jar is chock full.

Happy Holidays to all my flickr monkeys.
