Ice storm Seattle, Upper Fremont neighborhood Dec 23rd 2022
We had some snow this week but it was a mild amount. Even more so to the ice we had today. It has covered everything like a glazed donut. haha.
I have experienced much worse ice in other places I have lived in such as Nebraska. But Seattle rarely gets ice like this and isn't prepared for it. You will note no sand or salt on the sidewalks and this was around 1:30pm. I was glad for the snow under the ice, I was able to walk on the snow and grass which wasn't hard and was easier to walk on then the ice coated sidewalks and streets I would have stayed in since it was 30 C at the time with ice. But I needed to go out to get stuff. I took it slow and careful and was wearing hiking boots. Made it without falling at all. :)
