scenes from the evening sky over Oslo yesterday. The clouds gave a spectacular show of colour as the sun started to set, wrapping parts of the sky in Munch-like swathes of paint. Apparently part of a weather phenomenon known as Polar Stratospheric Clouds (nacreous clouds, and sometimes as 'mother of pearl clouds' (perlemorskyer in Norwegian))
