Nathan A. Host
Finding Knowledge 1
Phy and his trusty servant Boomer arrived at the Wizzend hovel of the Sage. He had no idea what to expect. having been given the map and the knowledge that this wise sage could assist him Phy set off in the small rickety boat they had procured with the proceeds of the trade with the Clan Birdo.
Slowly over the horizon the delapitated hovel on the waves appeared and Phy directed Boomer towards it as he put the cap back on his new collapsible spyglass. Phy sighed with releif that he had bought the glass, as he slowly came to realize, they were much futher into Blackhand Bay than the mage at the tavern had said.
No worries, he thought as they crept to the shaky dock, looping the tie down chain on the post. This ordeal with finding help with a rare device was almost done.
As soon as Phy Set foot on the dock, he saw the man that lived on the wooden structure. from this distance he looked dead in his eyes, he started closer before he realized the staff.
The staff held in the mans hand was large, as tall as a troll, and covered in spikes. and it moved. oh did it move. the eyes followed Phy's every step, and until he got to the bridge, it did nothing but follow him.
As soon as Phy opened his mouth to speak to the dead eyed man, the staff spoke.
And that is when Phy realized that the staff was the sage, and prepared to trade for what he came to get.
