The Stolen Pea Anklet
Remember Andersen's tale of the Princess and the Pea? This is how it ends:
'So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it. There, that is a true story.'
It seems though that someone did steal the pea. And then it was discovered that, to get her son to marry, the queen had actually cheated, as she had used a large bead of green, hard jade instead of a pea... No wonder the princess couldn't sleep on it!
Well, the poor jade bead underwent several more mishaps, but it always came out strong as ever. Eventually, it found good company by the side of a recycled piece of silver chain, and together, they formed this unique anklet!
