Korg Poly-61 with "Wood" Sides

Another P-61 from local craigslist (that makes 3!).

This one's got an oddity: the sides, instead of the usual grey plastic laminate, has a faux wood grain laminate. It's not actual wood laminate, like on the Polysix, but rather like Formica: a picture of wood under plastic.

Surprisingly, it looks kinda nice. So, how did this come to be? The job looks professional enough to be a factory experiment or custom order, but it could also have been done by an enterprising and skilled previous owner. Just thought I'd document it here, as I've never heard of this or seen another one like it.

Of course, it wouldn't power up when I got it. Problems:

- dirty power switch
- corroded traces
- bad ribbon cable connector

All of these are now fixed and it sounds quite nice.

This one's gonna get the full 'panel and left hand analog controls' treatment like the other ones did. Will have more pics when that's done.
