Hagia Sophia interior
This building was constructed in 562 as a church, then converted to a Mosque in 1453 and is now a Museum. The interior is breathtaking in size and decoration. This view does not show the dome. The prayer niche is in the far end of the structure and as you can see it is slightly off center. That is because the church was built facing toward Jerusalem and a mosque is built facing toward Mecca.
