Drumlanrig Castle, Gardens and Country Park near Thornhill
Drumlanrig Castle is an example of late 17th century Renaissance architecture. Constructed from distinctive pink sandstone, the first Duke of Queensberry, had the Castle built on the site of an ancient Douglas stronghold. It is also home to part of the internationally renowned Buccleuch Art Collection. Drumlanrig offers 40 acres of gardens and trails.
