245/365: ALMOST DONE...SORT OF

2 SEPT 13

I've been at this now, at Project 365, for one thousand three hundred and forty days of my life. Those are all recorded. Every creepy face (see above), every ouchy, every good and bad thing, its all there. I am amazed and am now overwhelmed by the amount of pictures I have saved. I mean, its easy to count and say 1340, but the reality is, each day I take around 25 images if its a slow day, and I think the max I've done is around 900 in one day either working or on vacation. Typically I don't delete either unless the images are completely OOF or just poorly taken.

In those moments when I open the vault, I'm like, oh yeezus, here we go! Ohhh, I remember this, and that, and I wonder what happened to him, and awe that dress, and ewww, what was up with my hair. It's amazing. This project may not be curing cancer, or starting a charity, and I doubt it will change the world, but it's quite an accomplishment, one that not many can say that they have done. And yes, it may seem pointless or useless in the big picture, but of all the dozens of people I've shared this fact with, that I have been on this 4 year odyssey, there hasn't been one not amazed by the feat. Believe you me, it takes a lot of effort to not only remember to take a photo everyday, but I mean, you can only really take so many photos of the blue sky or your favorite box, or whatever, without it seeming or feeling, a little boring. Hence today face. Rawr!

Well, at the end of the year, I always have this moment where I evaluate and see if I want to continue, and December 31st is on approach, but unlike last year where I wrestled with it a bit more, I quite honestly have now been doing this for so long, it is literally hard to stop. It's like brushing my teeth in the morning, gotta do it, may not like having to do it all the time, but you do because it makes you feel better and puts one foot in front of the other. I am also inspired by two of my favorite bloggers of CTFxC fame, who just made it into the Guinness Book of World records for vlogging consecutively for 5 years. Uh-mazing! I mean, I can snap a quick shot and I'm done, but these people have had to edit 5 years worth of video which if its anything like photo editing takes a hell of a lot of your day, and they do it everyday boiling down their 24 hours into a 8-ish minute video.
