From left- Thirlmere's 4-6-0 3642, Canberra Rail Museum's 4-6-0 3016 and Beyer Garratt DC6029, and LVR 2-8-2 5917 commence their historic "race" to Maitland. An Australian, and maybe world first event, where four historic steam locomotives run parallel for just over 30 minutes from Hanbury Junction to Maitland, as part of the 30th anniversary Maitland Steamfest.
