WALKING IN FAITH
The picture starts with the Book of Exodus chapter 15 and the verse 22… “Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea into the desert of Shur”…Yesterday the people of God was feeling an indescribable rapture after the hand of the Almighty took the people out of the land of slavery after years of oppression in Egypt…Not only that but He also filled their pockets with gold! He miraculously split the sea so they can walk on dry land to the other bank!!! They were more than joyful and I can almost hear the “hallelujah(s)”!
Soon the scene changed and they found themselves lost in a desolate wilderness…three days of walking and no oasis!!! no pond, no sign of life at all… the unseen Lord was supposedly there but the pitiful limitedness of man wants something tangible…we judge by what we see, and like kids we want our dad and mom walk with us HAND IN HAND…water was found at last but too much bitter to drink!!! Here came the need for God to act…Moses prayed “earnestly” the Book says and the problem was solved, again with the aid of God….
Similar episodes are repeated at some point of everybody’s life… when everything is ok and probably better than fine and all of a sudden something happens that seems to take our joy away…our inner peace is disturbed…anxiety looms as faith begins to shake!
It could be a disease, a financial problem, a bitterness we feel inside after someone we love so much has let us down…we realize we are in dire need for solutions, we look for alternatives, we thirst and go hungry and it could take some time before full recovery is restored BUT if we try to still our minds for a moment and silently ponder upon the surroundings we can feel the caring hand of the Lord… and as was the case with the the old people, some sort of manna and quails are always on the way to our rescue…
The verse “I am the Lord, the one who heals you” is for all of us…we are so dear to our heavenly Father, He may allow that we pass through times of difficulty but He is never to abandon us…He is the one to be fully trusted all the time!!!
This work is dedicated to:
Marilyn (cagedbird1) who is to undergo an eye operation soon…the Lord will be with you Marilyn…I’m praying for you dear…

Special thanks to Devaymarie for praying for me and my family always: my DEAR Dev…you are always in my prayers too…
