Ségolène Royal (Ministre de l’écologie, du développement durable et de l’énergie) a lancé l'opération "Arche de Noé Climat" les 19 et 20 septembre 2015, en partenariat avec Arkema, fournisseur du matériaux Elle est conçue par l'artiste de rue Gail Weil.
Il s'agit de 140 animaux réalisés d'après les dessins de Kristian. Ils sont en verre acrylique recyclable (PMMA) de 2m 10 par 2m 60. Chaque série compte 20 sculptures monochromes avec les couleurs de l'arc en ciel. La transparence représente la fragilité du monde animal et les rayures sa confrontation avec le dérèglement climatique.
L'exposition a voyagé à travers Paris et la France, pour finir au Bourget pour la COP21.
Arche de Noé Climat is a spectacular creation designed by street artist Gad Weil from the drawings of Kristian, at the request of Mrs. Ségolène Royal, Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy.
A Noah’s Ark of modern times which comes to collect citizens’ feelings about the consequences of global warming. This large multicolored herd of 140 animal figures will travel through France from September to December 2015, to collect the testimonies, messages and solutions of children and adults. These “climate solutions” will be broadcasted at the heart of the COP21, giving citizens a voice within this international climate conference.
In the biblical version of Noah’s Ark, it is the Flood that men and animals of these ancient times had to face; with Arche de Noé Climat, it is global warming that our animals have to fight against.
