Gallium metal, liquid

Liquid gallium metal, under very dilute hydrochloric acid in a beaker, which dissolves the very thin oxide layer giving the metal similar appearance to mercury (more concentrated acid can attack the metal). Gallium is one of the 4 metals that is a liquid at 30 C (3 other metals include cesium, francium and mercury). Its melting point is 29.7646 °C, but has a tendency to supercool and can remain a liquid at 20 °C.
