The Metro

A Blue Line train sits at the Farragut West station of Washington DC's Metro. Opened in 1976 it is relatively modern in terms of a public transit system (for America anyway). Three lines (Blue, Silver, and Orange) serve this station with a train arriving every 2-3 minutes. The circular lights on the platform edge flash when a train is 20-30 seconds from arriving.
