In his home race, local hero Sébastien BUEMI successfully defends against Pascal Wehrlein at this point and finally finishes on P3.
Towards the end of the race the sun was standing quite low making for a great light on the track. This was due to the Red Flag in the first round when many cars crashed in the first chicane following a long time to get everything fixed and a big discussion on the order of position according the rules to restart the race.
