This pretty much went wrong from the start, starting with me not reading that it was meant for a plus size child. I took a bit off the facings and it will fit fine over a sweater in autumn. I found the sweatshirt fabric difficult to manage, maybe it will get easier in time. i'm only sewing clothes about 6 months. The buttons are covered in Anna Maria Horner garden party fabric.
