Skip ahead two days, my wallet is $40 less after a trip to Michaels and I’m ready to go. My plan is to make a 1980 Dodge Aspen for my brother’s 45th birthday. It was his first car and first love. I start looking for templates and wonder why I can’t find any for a 1980 Dodge Aspen. I mean really? Four hundred thousand posts on Google and no blueprints? Pffft. I finally find some pixilated side view to blow up and print out. I think I can make out the actual lines of the car. Sort of. I can’t find a top view though and the folks on CC, bless you all, try to help but I still have no luck. I’ll wing it. How hard can it be? I have to work out the dimensions of the cake and realize it’s been a very long time since I’ve done algebra, which was necessary because of the missing template.
