Consciousness, absent. - I
According to one estimate, every year about 320,000 people migrate to the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Street dwellers are driven by poverty, natural disasters and recently climate change that had to adopt a very precarious and humiliating life on the streets devoid of all basic amenities of life, under constant threat of eviction and harassment by the law-enforcing agencies and hoodlums.
Is there really not enough place for them to sleep in peace? Or have our consciousness just gone absent as they go when we are asleep?
