Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa joined business and community leaders at a press conference at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce in support of Dr. John Deasy's recent election to LAUSD Superintendent. Announced this week as the person selected to replace retiring Superintendent Ramon Cortines, Deasy has garnered widespread community support while serving as LAUSD Deputy Superintendent over the past six months.
