Camelthorn Trees

Gusty windy morning sand been blown around and I could not use a tripod.

These ancient trees are bedded in clay.

The clay prevented Insects from getting into the trees root system and trunk as a result the dead trees have not rotted and been eaten.

Some say trees in the Deadvlei are over 100,000 years old!!
