The Building and Grounds Committee discussed workflow last night. This picture demonstrates how staff members need to be present at both sides of the desk at most times. In between users, staff are checking items in, processing interlibrary loans, etc. They sit in close proximity to the materials and systematically work through the piles. A separate processing area would alleviate the carts of clutter on top of one another in such a small space.
