Banned Books - Preview at the Columbia Room, DC
The DC Public Library Foundation (DCPLF) is once again celebrating Banned Books Week with a city-wide social media scavenger hunt throughout September. Starting 9/5, over 600 banned books will be hidden in over 50 locations across the District including DCPL branches, public spaces, and community businesses.
This year, DCPLF is introducing new #UNCENSOREDDC contest components including prizes from local business partners as well as “golden ticket” books which are worth a pair of tickets to UNCENSORED Underground (DCPLF’s annual fundraising event held on September 30 at Dupont Underground).
