CSX 7787 D753 Downtown Kent, OH 5/8/21
CSX #7787, a GE C40-8WM, is trailing on train D753 as it rolls through downtown Kent, Ohio. I'm not one to do front-coupled roster shots, but seeing any form of Dash 8 on CSX in 2021 is a bit rare. This 7787 has been working the D752/D753 locals for a couple weeks now, and unfortunately tends to lead the D752 eastbound under the cover of darkness. This is one of the ten Dash 8s that CSX has modified into a C40-8WM. I'm not sure what all the rebuild entailed, but I do know the units basically had their entire cab interior overhauled. Glad to see some of these 1990s units still kicking in an era where modern GEVOs and AC power reign.
