A little bit of

Paris or some thing French with this interior with its wrought iron chairs and tables . The large mural picture on the wall shows the original interior as it was in the Little Brown Jug Cafe as this place was called in the 1930's . The word little has been dropped and its still The Brown Jug Cafe with lots of of its namesakes lining the walls , hundreds of little brown jugs of all shapes and sizes collected by the present owner . The cafe started in 1936 and was owned and run by the formidable looking lady in the floral dress in the centre of this picture . The original photo of this scene was bought into the revamped cafe by a little old lady who was 84 at the time , and that just happens to be her pictured in the middle near the weighting scales .. I noted the lady customer with her back to the photographer has her hair dressed in a fashionable 1940's styling with hat of the times and she appears to have a pram close to her table . Thats when people dressed to come to town a far cry from the casual look of today . Also noted are the pretty vases of flowers on the other tables adding to the scene ..
