It was funded by the Tattersalls sweep of the time and Adams didnt spare the quality on its fitout with tones of marble from Belgian and African quarries and cedar joinery . Stained pictorial glass panels and domed ceilings added opulentence to this Italian renaissance creation . The above shows the approach to the bar down a black granite staircase its all dark with hi-light lighting and situated in the basement of the Hilton Hotel in George St.
