What is Polychrome ? It's the use of multiple colours , in this case brickwork to create a decorative artistic effect highlighting various architectural features of a building . It came into vogue in the West in the second half of the 19th century , the architects of the age were inspired by earlier Medieval and Romanesque revival styles .
