Theres more than one Australian flag .. left to right we have the Aboriginal flag , the flag of the First Australian's with its distinct yellow circular sun , the red representing the earth and the black the people of that earth . In the centre is the main traditional Australian flag with its Union Jack showing our link to the UK and the first white settlement of this country with the stars of the Southern Cross . To the right is the flag of the Torres Strait Islander people with its blue colouring signifying the colour of the seas with it central white Dhoeri headdress emblem , the island people of those seas .
