Firstly, I must say a very big thankyou to Tim Best for putting me on to this magic little shooting location.
I confess I am a bit of a photo site stalker and when I see great images of places I haven't been before and that are still pretty close to home, I am like a kid in a candy store.
To spite being hammered by strong winds all day, I am very pleased I went as I got a great range of cloud forms as a cold front approached later in the afternoon.
The above image is where my day started and I was anticipating the sky being a blanket of dull white and considered calling it a day after an hour or so. A glimpse of cotton ball cloud in the distance inspired me to hang around, go for a drive, and come back later as the cold front got closer.
I think the best shots were taken at the end of the day, but I haven't got to processing them yet so they will gradually hit my stream over coming days.
I will definitely return here (hopefully when not quite so windy).
Cheers,
Ross
