All Saints Church, Messing, Essex

The nave of the church is 14th century or earlier; the chancel is 13th century or earlier; the tower and transept date from the 1840 improvements.

 

Fragments of the Roman empire have been used by the builders in the fabric of the church, taken from a nearby Roman villa.
