Douglas Skyraider VA155 503 H G-RADR

AD-4N Skyraider c/n 7722 was built in 1948 at the Douglas El Segundo plant, California with Bureau Number (BuNo) 126922 and delivered to the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) with serial 42 in 1960.
On February 1976 she was delivered to the Armée de l'Air Gabonaise (Gabon Air Force) with serial TR-KMM. She was one of eight Skyraiders that were donated to Gabon, where they were flown by French mercenaries serving with the Groupment Aerient Presidentiel.
After being struck of charge in 1985 she was bought by Aero Retro in France who had previously bought her sister F-AZDP as well. She arrived in Le Havre, France on April 17,1985 and was registered as F-AZED in the French civil register. In 1986 she went to La Ferté Alais to become part of the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis collection. Registered as F-AZED she was painted as BuNo 126922, code JS-937 of VF-152 "Fighting Aces" flying from the USS Intrepid.
On December 24, 1991 she was sold to the Duxford based Fighter Collection in the United Kingdom and registered as G-RAID in June 1993. She stayed with the TFC for ten years until October 30, 2003 when she was sold to Kennet Aviation at North Weald and registered G-RADR.
