Aumbry, St Matthias' Church, Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, Norfolk

This cupboard / aumbry is located in the Nave of St Matthias' Church.

St Matthias' Church, built by the 11th Century, has a Saxon round tower constructed mainly of flints. The tower has a Norman bell stage containing two bells from the 15th and 17th Centuries.

The nave is also built of flints, probably in the Saxon period. The heavily-buttressed chancel was rebuilt in red brick in 1838 with gothick windows.
