At the turn of the 20th Century this church stood over half a mile away from the sea. The church now sits at the edge of the cliff at Pakefield.
All Saints and St Margaret is two churches sat side by side, tha parish churches of what were, up until the 18th century, two seperate parishes.
In April 1941 the church took a direct hit in a bombing raid and was completely gutted. The inside was then rebuilt after the war.
