Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Gillingham, Norfolk

The church was designed and built by local Catholic Church architect Frederick Banham in 1898. It was funded by the Kenyon family of Gillingham Hall. The Kenyon's had recently been received in the Catholic Church and decided to build this church next to the Anglican St Mary's on the edge of their estate.

Frederick Banham then went on to design and build St Bene't Minster in Beccles where he is buried.

Gillingham is located on the Norfolk / Suffolk border near Beccles.
