Marenghi Showman's Organ

This Marenghi Showman's Engine started it's life in Paris in 1905, where it graced a dance hall. The riotously coloured front, with its exoctic ladies, glinting organ pipes, guarded by golden winged lions and, above, rearing stallions drawing the chariot of a skimpily-clad Parisienne, compliments a 98-key organ of unusual character and probably unique components.

The organ arrived at the Thursford Collection in Norfolk from Belfast, Ireland in 1959.
