10th December 2002

Work continued day and night on replacing sections of the PS Waverley's hull. The Waverley was lifted up out of the water on a special pontoon (AMT Wayfarer) on 25th November 2002. On the 7th February 2003 she was refloated and made her way up the River Yare to Yarmouth for more work. Work was all finally finished on June 9th 2003 when she left Gorleston and Great Yarmouth for Scotland for all the necessary trials before she could take fare-paying passengers on board again.
