View of the Iron Bridge from the House, Cragside

Cragside, near Morpeth in Northumberland, was the home of Lord Willliam Armstrong, the armament's manufacturer.

It was the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power.

The house in currently in the care of the National Trust and has been open to the public since 1979. It is well worth a visit!
