The Methodist Chapel

In the Pit Village you can see how families in the coal-mining communities in the North East used to live in the early 1900s.

 

Methodism flourished in the North East’s pit communities. The Chapel at the Museum often hosts traditional services and events, including for Christmas and Harvest Festival.
