Hibiscus schizopetalus seedpod

I've also been trying to get H. schizopetalus to set seeds. I've looked and looked and never found H. schizopetalus seeds for sale. One of my friends thinks that all H. schizopetalus in the US is the same clone, as he's also tried unsuccessfully to get it to set seed. This aborted on December 19, almost two weeks from pollination, which is about the best I've been able to get. This was pretty well filled, and had many developing seeds that I have put into culture. Eventually I want to convert H. schizopetalus to tetraploid, and seeds are the easiest way to do that.
