A busy scene on a Saturday at the Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station in central Manchester. Four of the system's Bombardier M5000 light rail vehicles that comprise the fleet; 3106 heading to Eccles, with an East Didsbury service heading in to the platform behind it, a terminating Trafford Centre service int he middle bay and 3143 heading away on the temporarily curtailed service to Oldham Mumps due to closure of the line to Rochdale due to a landslip.
The skywards growing architecture of Manchester surrounds the scene with the new tower block on the left being constructed in alarming proximity to the Metrolink infrastructure as a developer squeezes every last square centimetre from the site!
