From the first issue of the German advertising design and commercial art magazine Gebrauchsgraphik in 1924, on industrial advertising, a reproduction of an advert for telegraph and electricity poles issued by Gebr. Himmelsbach A.G. of Freiburg in Baden. The company were it appears one of the largest producers of timber products, such as railway sleepers and poles, in Europe having relocated to Freiburg in 1902.
The artwork is by graphic designer and artist Otto Franz Kutscher (1890-1971) who lived in Bad-Nauheim for many years. It appears that he was a committed anti-fascist who spent time in National Socialist re-education camps. He undertook many commissions for industrial concerns.
