The cover to a c.1935 map of Berlin showing the city's S-Bahn system and issued as the "Pharus hiking map for the pocket timetable of the Berlin city ring suburban railway" as shown on the cover. Pharus were a commercial mapping company who produced several similar editions to this, the main difference here being the use of the official S-Bahn sysmbol in place of the Pharus trademark and the note at the base of the cover stating it was issued by "Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft, Reichsbahndirektion Berlin" in place of the Pharus-Plan company.
The cover design is by "Wittwer" and that may be "H. Wittwer".
