One of a large number of 'Party Outings' booklets issued by British Railways and that describes a series of tours, part-day, full day and overnight, that were designed to facilitate organisers of groups, excursions and educational visits. Often issued by the appripriate Region this is from the Chief Passenger Representative of the London Commercial Services of BR based in Charing Cross Road.
It gives details of a large number of excursions by train and associated coach journeys that could be organised for a guarenteed number of passengers, often 300 or 400, alongside details of events for smaller numbers that included cheaper fares for parties. These tours cover a wide range from 'local' London area destinations such as Epping Forest (via London Transport stations) to more far-flung places such as day trips to Harrogate and Wharfedale, Cardiff or North Wales to an overnight train trip to Glasgow for a day on the Clyde steamer services with another overnight train journey back.
