An interesting example from the 'representative samples' section of the Penrose Annual for 1935 showing what I suspect was a booklet cover - the BBC were avid publishers in the 'thirties of booklets to accompany radio series - but that oddly credits no artist or designer. The sample is printed on double cartridge paper made by John Galloway & Co Ltd at their Balerno Bank Paper Mills in Midlothian and the reproduction is from two-colour line blocks by Raithby, Lawrence & Co Ltd of Leicester and London.
