British Railways ; London Midland Region : The Shamrock wine list : British Transport Catering Services, December 1961
As noted in the descriptive text The Shamrock, the named expres that connected London Euston with Liverpool Lime Street was a fairly 'recent' name, gaining the title in 1954. It was timed to allow connections with the ferries from Liverpool to both Dublin and Blefast or allow a brief four hours in London for business.
The Wine List still continues to offer the old LMSR branded whisky "The Royal Scot". The cover is remarkable but again sadly it is not credited. Many of these BTC/BR menu cards and wine lists were printed at the Curwen Press.
