Edinburgh Corporation Transport - Daimler CWA6, EFS 132, in St Andrew Square, c1960

In the background is the site of the St Andrew Square bus station used by SMT/Eastern Scottish and one of their deckers can be seen emerging from the portal gateway that was later replaced by an over-site development (that housed the offices of IBM my Pa worked in, whilst I worked as a conductor in the bus station below!). The bus is one of the Daimler CWA6's that was delivered during the war with a utility Brush body, as fleet number G77, but that was later reconstructed by Alexanders and became, in the post-1951 fleet renumbering, 377. Edinburgh's 1950s love of full-fronted bodywork can be clearly seen on this bus - it is running on the 11 to Fairmilehead.

Again - a card from the late A C Jamieson so, apologies to the original photographer.
